Christ’s return “imminent” since 2004.

Joseph Farah is the founder of the popular website WorldNetDaily.com. He has a few good things to say; however, along with countless others, he is predicting a future return of Christ. On December 22, 2004, he said, “we should be hopeful and expectant of His imminent return.” Just like all the other false prophets, his use of “imminent” is inconsistent with the definition found in Webster’s dictionary. Can something be “ready to take place; especially: hanging threateningly over one’s head” for almost five years? Perhaps. But we have been told the second coming is imminent for decades. It was imminent back in the seventies when your author made some major decisions based on this erroneous teaching. Surely, many today are making similar bad decisions with all the talk of Christ’s return being imminent, while the record shows that Farah and the other second-coming prognosticators clearly don’t know what they’re talking about.
It should be remembered that Farah and all other futurists are not just believers in a future return of Christ, they are deniers of his first-century return; the one Jesus and his apostles predicted in Scripture.
