Most Christians receive an extremely unbalanced portrayal of the Israeli people from their religious leaders and the news media and are woefully ignorant regarding the true Israel which is predominantly secular.
Yes, there are some religious zealots who would like to restore temple worship; however, they are a minority. The general population is far from religious and is not by any stretch of the imagination faithfully following the Old Covenant as many might assume.
While American taxpayers drown in over ten trillion dollars of public debt, the U.S. government gives billions of dollars to Israel annually.
